EU Compliance Manager (vacature gesloten) –

Introductie

HDDN is looking for an EU Compliance Manager for a commercial motor insurance provider that powers opportunities for businesses, from entire fleets of vehicles to self-employed drivers and riders.

Our client combines best-in-class technology with sophisticated data sources to offer insurance products that save businesses time and money.

Since it’s inception, our client has believed that the problem with traditional insurance is that it holds businesses back. It’s too expensive and time consuming, and it no longer suits businesses who use vehicles to earn money. The products represent a solution to this problem for businesses based across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Functie

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Compliance Manager to empower the European expansion and ensure that we play by the rules, at all times.

The company currently has an insurance distribution hub in the Netherlands, with branches in Ireland, France and Spain – and they are expanding further across the EU. Additionally, the role will support a soon to be established Dutch insurance carrier.

Functie-eisen

● You will support the compliance function holder in the implementation and maintaining of the compliance risk management framework in the Netherlands and across the EU.
● You will ensure compliance with all the relevant EU regulations, including but not limited to IDD and Solvency II Pillar 2.
● You will play a key role in the functioning of the European insurance distribution hub in the Netherlands and expansion across the EU, through advice and support on day-to-day compliance issues.
● You will implement training and establish processes to ensure compliant insurance sales and admin across the whole policy cycle.
● You will coordinate the key deliverables, including the Compliance Monitoring Plan, Risk Event / Compliance Breaches Register, Board packs and policies.
● Additionally, you will help the Head of Risk and Compliance in implementation of the European risk framework: identify and manage risks, ensure that the relevant controls are operating effectively, key controls are tested and deficiencies are addressed (previous experience is not necessary).
● You will build strong alliances and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the company to promote business engagement in risk and compliance matters.
● You will work closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance, the group Risk and Compliance Team, as well as with the senior managers.

Aanbod

● You will have a minimum 5 years of exposure to the EU insurance or fintech market, with focus on compliance.
● You will have particular expertise in the second line of defence, especially compliance with IDD specific general good provisions, Solvency II and other relevant local regulations across the EU.
● You will be eager to learn and support the implementation and maintenance of the risk framework (incl. coordination of the Risk Register, ORSA) – previous experience is not necessary.
● You’ll have great analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
● You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
● You will have excellent cross functional collaboration skills.
● You will be someone who exhibits sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and a track record of taking ownership and influencing results.
● You will have a high degree of organisation and an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
