The company is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and is a leader in supplying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Bio Methane (LBM) to industrial and maritime clients. These fuels are cleaner alternatives to oil-based products.

Functie
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to management and the business. The emphasis is on negotiating and drafting contracts, especially in the areas of energy, shipping and procurement. In addition, you will ensure that other business activities with legal and contractual requirements are complied with in accordance with local and international laws and regulations. You are a trusted advisor, thinking at a strategic level. You report to the Legal Director, with whom you can also interact in the daily course of business.
Functie-eisen
• Completed a WO master degree in (Dutch) law and preferably in corporate or contract law;
• Around 5/6 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional at a law firm and/or as a legal counsel in a relevant industry;
• Thorough knowledge of and passion for energy law and/or maritime law;
• Experience in the energy, gas or biogas, or shipping industry is a plus;
• An analytically strong, results-oriented, independent and pragmatic attitude;
• Excellent oral and written command of the English language and preferably Dutch.
• Around 5/6 years of relevant work experience as a legal professional at a law firm and/or as a legal counsel in a relevant industry;
